After a long time of period the benchmark of NSE's 50 Stock basket Nifty has given successfully weekly closing above the level of 6000, One time market looked loosing the momentum during the intraday session but in second half and one hour before the closing it gave sharp recovery & close on 6016.15 it is the first time weekly closing above 6000 mark after 6-Jan-2011. Nifty future closed on 6047.50 with premium of 31.35 On the other end Pulse of the economy ( Bank-Nifty ) closed at 12787.52  while Bank Nifty near month future closed on 12872 with premium of 84.65

  • Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net Buyers in the equity segment worth Rs 11644.1 million on both BSE and NSE on 4,Jan, as per provisional data available at NSE. They bought equities worth Rs 31878.9 million and sold equities worth Rs 20234.8 million.
  • While, Domestic Institutional Investors were net Seller in the equity segment worth Rs -8254 million on both the BSE and the NSE on 4,Jan, as per provisional data available at the NSE. They bought equities worth Rs 11485.5 million and sold equities worth Rs 19739.5 million.
